ECM INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET

   
   

   1. Install the No. 2 ECM bracket with the 2 screws.

      Torque:

      3.0 N*m  { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }

2. INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET

   
   

   1. Install the No. 1 ECM bracket with the 2 screws.

      Torque:

      3.0 N*m  { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }

3. INSTALL 4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU (for 4WD)

4. INSTALL ECM

   
   

   1. for 4WD:

      
      

      1. Install the ECM with the 4 wheel drive control ECU, with the bolt and 2 nuts.

         Torque:

         for Bolt

         8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

         for Nut

         5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      2. Connect the 2 4 wheel drive control ECU connectors and 6 ECM connectors.

   2. for 2WD and Pre-Runner:

      
      

      1. Install the ECM with the bolt and 2 nuts.

         Torque:

         for Bolt

         8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

         for Nut

         5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      2. Connect the 6 ECM connectors.

   3. for LHD:

      Attach the 2 clamps.

   4. for RHD:

      Attach the 3 clamps.

5. INSTALL ENGINE STOP AND START SOLENOID FILTER (w/ Stop and Start System for Automatic Transmission)

6. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

8. PERFORM REGISTRATION
