DIESEL THROTTLE BODY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the connector to install the emission control valve wire to the diesel throttle body assembly.

    2. Install a new gasket and the diesel throttle body assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    3. Connect the connector and clamp.

    4. for Cold Area Specification Vehicles:

      Connect the No. 11 water by-pass hose and No. 14 water by-pass hose to the diesel throttle body assembly, and slide the 2 clips to secure the hose.

    5. Connect the fuel hose bracket with the bolt to the diesel throttle body assembly.

      Torque:
      6.5 N*m  { 66 kgf*cm, 58 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL INTERCOOLER AIR TUBE


    1. Install the intercooler air tube to the diesel throttle body assembly and tighten the hose clamp.

      Torque:
      6.5 N*m  { 66 kgf*cm, 58 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the connector to the intake air temperature sensor.

  3. INSTALL NO. 4 AIR HOSE


    1. Install the No. 4 air hose to the intercooler air tube and tighten the 2 hose clamps.

      Torque:
      6.5 N*m  { 66 kgf*cm, 58 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the oil return hose to the intercooler assembly and engine oil level dipstick guide, and slide the 2 clips to secure the hose.

    3. Attach the 4 clamps.

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the 2 clips and install the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly to the No. 2 water by-pass pipe.

    2. Install the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly to the No. 1 engine cover bracket and No. 2 engine cover bracket with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
