CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the diesel throttle body assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 nuts from the No. 1 engine cover bracket and No. 2 engine cover bracket.
Detach the 2 clips and No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly from the No. 2 water by-pass pipe.
Note
Make sure to lift the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly upward, Pulling the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly towards you may damage the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.
REMOVE NO. 4 AIR HOSE
Detach the 4 clamps.
Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the oil return hose from the intercooler assembly and engine oil level dipstick guide.
Loosen the 2 hose clamps and remove the No. 4 air hose.
REMOVE INTERCOOLER AIR TUBE
Disconnect the connector from the intake air temperature sensor.
Loosen the hose clamp and remove the intercooler air tube from the diesel throttle body assembly.
REMOVE DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY
Remove the bolt and disconnect the fuel hose bracket from the diesel throttle body assembly.
for Cold Area Specification Vehicles:
Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 11 water by-pass hose and No. 14 water by-pass hose from the diesel throttle body assembly.
Disconnect the connector and clamp.
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, diesel throttle body assembly and gasket.
Disconnect the connector to remove the emission control valve wire from the diesel throttle body assembly.
