P2263 Turbo/Super Charger Boost System Performance

DESCRIPTION

After the ignition switch is turned off, the ECM performs nozzle vane plate soot removal control (current opening angle→fully opened→fully closed). Monitor the motor drive current value while these opening and closing operations are performed. If the value exceeds the threshold, it can be determined that movement is abnormal. If the system judges that abnormal movements have occurred twice, this DTC is stored, and a message is displayed on the multi-information display the next time the ignition switch is turned to ON.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (DTC P2263)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

    4. Read DTCs.


      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (ACTIVATE THE VN TURBO CLEANING)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.

    3. Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature is 77°C (170°F) or higher with all the accessories switched off.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Activate the VN Turbo Cleaning.

    5. Perform the Active Test.


      Powertrain > Engine > Active Test
      Tester Display
      Activate the VN Turbo Cleaning

      Tech Tips


      • VN turbo cleaning finishes 20 minutes after the speed increases.

      • If actions such as depressing the accelerator pedal or operating the shift lever are performed, cleaning control is stopped. If this occurs, it is necessary to perform the procedure again.

  5. CLEAR DTC


    1. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Check that a message is not displayed in the multi-information display.

    4. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    5. Turn the GTS on.

    6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes / Clear.

    7. Clear the DTC.
