DESCRIPTION

The urea SCR system purifies NOx using urea solution.

When the remaining quantity of urea solution is running low, the system can no longer purify NOx.

Therefore, the remaining distance that can be driven is displayed on the multi-information display. When the remaining drivable distance reaches 0 km/h (0 mile), the engine cannot be started.

Tech Tips

When urea solution is refilled enough to increase the drivable distance to 2400 km/h (1500 mile) or more, the warning message on the multi-information display can be cleared.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

Perform this procedure in an environment that is warmer than -11°C (12.2°F). Otherwise, the urea solution will not freeze.

Tech Tips

P203F is output when the remaining quantity of urea solution falls below the fixed value. Therefore, refill the urea solution according to the display on the multi-information display, clear the DTC and return the vehicle to the customer.

  1. REFILL UREA SOLUTION


    1. Stop the vehicle on a level surface and completely refill with urea solution.

      Tech Tips

      For the urea solution, use AdBlue (conforming to ISO 22241-1).

  2. CLEAR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes / Clear.


      Powertrain > Engine > Clear DTCs

    4. Press the YES button.
