DESCRIPTION
Refer to DTC P0545.
| DTC No. | Detection Item | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area | MIL | Memory |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| P2080 | Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1 | The change in the exhaust temperature sensors from before the engine is started (after leaving the vehicle alone for 10 hours) and after driving for a fixed amount of time (approximately 15 minutes) is small. (2 trip detection logic) |

Tech Tips
Sensor 1 represents the sensor located upstream of the DOC catalytic converter.
Sensor 2 represents the sensor located upstream of the DPF catalytic converter.
Sensor 3 represents the sensor located downstream of the DPF catalytic converter.
If DTC P2080, P2084 and/or P242B is stored, the following symptoms may appear:
White smoke
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Note
After replacing the ECM, the new ECM needs registration (Click here) and initialization Click here.
Tech Tips
Read freeze frame data using the GTS. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
PROCEDURE
CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P2080, P2084 AND P242B)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
Read the DTCs.
