POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH

   
   

   1. Install a new O-ring to the power steering oil pressure switch.

   2. Apply a light coat of power steering fluid to the O-ring.

      Tech Tips

      
      

      • When reusing the power steering oil pressure switch, inspect the O-ring.

      • If the O-ring has scratches or cuts, replace the power steering oil pressure switch.

   3. for 4WD and Pre-Runner:

      
      

      1. Using a wrench to hold union.

      2. Install the power steering oil pressure switch.

         Torque:

         20.6 N*m  { 210 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

   4. for 2WD:

      
      

      1. Install the power steering oil pressure switch.

         Torque:

         20.6 N*m  { 210 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

   5. Connect the power steering oil pressure switch connector.

2. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID

3. BLEED AIR FROM POWER STEERING SYSTEM

4. INSPECT FOR POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK
