| DTC Code | DTC Name |
|---|---|
| P1D7B-450 | FC Air Compressor Motor "A" Temperature Sensor Circuit Correlation |
| P1D7E-450 | FC Air Compressor Motor "A" Temperature Sensor Circuit Intermittent |
DESCRIPTION
The resistance of the thermistor built into the FC air compressor motor temperature sensor changes in accordance with changes in FC air compressor motor temperature. The lower the FC air compressor motor temperature, the higher the thermistor resistance. Conversely, the higher the FC air compressor motor temperature, the lower the resistance.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Note
When the vehicle is parked with the power switch off, if the FC control ECU judges that the FC stack temperature will go below 0°C (32°F), it activates the FC air compressor, hydrogen pump and FC cooling water pump for a maximum of 180 seconds and drains water from the FC stack assembly. When performing inspection or repairs with the power switch off (not on (IG) or on (READY)), disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal before performing work (If the auxiliary battery voltage is needed to conduct inspection, warm up the FC system beforehand).
Tech Tips
If DTC P1D7B-450 is output, clear the DTCs, perform the following procedure, and check that the same DTC is not output after the repair.
Drive the vehicle (stop and go driving) on urban roads for approximately 5 minutes. If the Data List item "FC Air Compressor Motor Temperature" shows both increases and decreases in temperature, suspected areas indicated by this DTC are not malfunctioning.
If DTC P1D7E-450 is output, clear the DTCs, perform the following procedure, and check that the same DTC is not output after the repair.
Turn the power switch on (READY) and wait for 30 seconds or more.
Drive the vehicle for approximately 5 minutes according to the freeze frame data items "Vehicle Speed", "Inverter Coolant Water Temperature", "Drive Motor Temperature" and "FC Air Compressor Motor Temperature".
PROCEDURE
REPLACE FC AIR COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Tech Tips
The FC air compressor motor temperature sensor is not available as a supply part. If it requires replacement, replace the FC air compressor with motor assembly.
