AUXILIARY BATTERY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL AUXILIARY BATTERY


    1. Install the auxiliary battery to the vehicle.

    2. Connect the battery hose to the auxiliary battery.

      Tech Tips

      Push the battery hose onto the auxiliary battery until a click sound is heard.

    3. Install the battery clamp to the vehicle with the bolt and nut.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    4. Connect the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal to the auxiliary battery and tighten the nut.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    5. Engage the 5 claws and install the battery terminal connector cover to the fusible link block assembly.

  2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL


    1. Connect the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to the auxiliary battery and tighten the nut.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER

    1. Engage the claws in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration, and install the luggage trim service hole cover to the vehicle.
