*1: Check the part number of the battery voltage sensor.
If the battery voltage sensor had been replaced just before the malfunction occurred, check the part number of the battery voltage sensor.
Using the GTS, check the vehicle control history.

Tech Tips
If "Battery Smart Unit Mismatch" is displayed, the wrong type of battery voltage sensor is installed.
After installing the battery voltage sensor, perform the following to check that the power switch can be turned on (READY).
Turn the power switch on (READY).
Turn the power switch off and wait for 30 seconds or more.
Turn the power switch on (READY) again.
Tech Tips
The type of battery voltage sensor to be used varies depending on the vehicle model.
If the wrong type of battery voltage sensor is installed, the power switch cannot be turned on (READY).
*2: Confirm the problem symptoms when the auxiliary battery was depleted.
READY ON remains disabled if the auxiliary battery is low.
If the following symptoms are present although the auxiliary battery has been charged or replaced with a new one after it is depleted, a short circuit may have occurred in the PIBM circuit.
READY ON remains disabled despite the auxiliary battery being charged or replaced with a new one.
After the auxiliary battery is charged or replaced, system main relay operating sound is heard when reconnecting the battery terminal.
Tech Tips
The FC control ECU activates (wakes up) the EV control ECU so as to actuate antifreeze control to the FC stack. This wake-up power signal circuit is called as PIBM circuit.
If the symptoms mentioned above are found, perform the following instructions to check if any DTCs are set.
Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 1 minute or more.
Turn the power switch off and wait for 3 minutes or more.
Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 30 seconds.
