FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the front door belt moulding removal/installation are shown below.

  • Fully open the front door glass sub-assembly LH before proceeding with work.

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:


    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Put protective tape around the front door belt moulding assembly LH.

    2. B003LYAC01
      B003OFB Remove in this Direction

      Using moulding remover D, detach the claw and remove the front door belt moulding assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
