REAR SPOILER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B003RUU

      Attach the clip to install the rear spoiler sub-assembly.

    2. Install the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.8 N*m  { 80 kgf*cm, 69 in.*lbf }
    3. Remove the protective tape.

  2. INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS CHANNEL LH

    Tech Tips

    When installing the back door glass channel LH, heat the vehicle body and back door glass channel LH using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Back Door Glass Channel LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    CAUTION:


    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.

    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.

    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install a new back door glass channel LH.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new back door glass channel LH.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the back door glass channel LH.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Attach the clip to install the back door glass channel LH.

        Tech Tips

        Press the back door glass channel LH firmly to install it.

  3. INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS CHANNEL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
