REAR BUMPER REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD

    Tech Tips


    • When installing the rear bumper pad, heat the rear bumper cover using a heat light.

    • Use the same procedure to install the rear bumper pad on the other side.

    Item Temperature
    Rear Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    1. When using a new rear bumper cover:


      1. Clean the surface of a new rear bumper cover.

      2. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover surface.

    2. When reusing the rear bumper cover:


      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper cover.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      Install a new rear bumper pad.


      1. Remove the peeling paper from the face of a new rear bumper pad.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      2. Align the rear bumper pad with the mark-off line of the rear bumper cover and install it as shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Press the rear bumper pad firmly to install it.

  2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Install the rear bumper side moulding sub-assembly LH with the 4 clips.

  3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  4. INSTALL LOWER REAR BUMPER COVER


    1. Install the lower rear bumper cover with the 12 clips.

  5. INSTALL NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Attach the clamp to install the No. 3 luggage room wire.

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

  7. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Attach the guide to install the reflex reflector assembly LH.

    2. Install the bolt.

  8. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH
