NAME PLATE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR EMBLEM

    Tech Tips

    When removing the No. 1 back door emblem, heat the vehicle body and No. 1 back door emblem using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    No. 1 Back Door Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

      *a Wooden Block
      *b Boss
      B003KT0 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the No. 1 back door emblem.

    2. Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 1 back door emblem.

      Tech Tips

      Be careful of the boss positions.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 back door emblem to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the No. 1 back door emblem.

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

    Tech Tips

    When removing the back door name plate, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly and back door name plate using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Back Door Outside Garnish Sub-assembly 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Back Door Name Plate 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

      *a Wooden Block
      B003KT0 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the back door name plate.

    2. Insert piano wire between the back door outside garnish sub-assembly and back door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the back door name plate to the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

    5. Remove the back door name plate.

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR MARK

    Tech Tips

    When removing the back door mark, heat the vehicle body and back door mark using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Back Door Mark 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

      *a Wooden Block
      B003KT0 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the back door mark.

    2. Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and back door mark.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the back door mark to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the back door mark.
