RELAY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER RELAY


    1. B003K83N01

      Inspect the headlight dimmer relay (DIMMER relay).


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer relay (DIMER relay).

  2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT RELAY


    1. B003K83N01

      Inspect the headlight relay (H-LP relay).


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight relay (H-LP relay).

  3. INSPECT RUNNING LIGHT RELAY


    1. B003MAYN01

      Inspect the running light relay (DRL relay).


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the running light relay (DRL relay).

  4. INSPECT FOG LIGHT RELAY


    1. B003MAYN01

      Inspect the fog light relay (FOG FR relay).


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the fog light relay (FOG FR relay).

  5. INSPECT TAILLIGHT RELAY


    1. B003MAYN01

      Inspect the taillight relay (TAIL relay).


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the taillight relay (TAIL relay).
