PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE COOLER BRACKET

      Remove the screw and cooler bracket.

  2. REMOVE MAGNET CLUTCH ASSEMBLY

      *a SST

      1. Clamp the compressor assembly with magnet clutch in a vise between aluminum plates.

      2. Using SST, hold the magnet clutch hub.

      3. Remove the bolt, magnet clutch hub and magnet clutch washer(s).

        Tech Tips

        There is no set number of magnet clutch washers that are used for adjusting clutch clearance.

    2. B003R72

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnet clutch rotor.

      Note

      Do not damage the seal cover of the bearing when removing the snap ring.

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnet clutch stator.
