COMPRESSOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

  2. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

    Click here

  3. REMOVE GENERATOR WITH CLUTCH PULLEY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH

    Click here

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH


    1. Remove the 6 clips and front fender apron seal LH.

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor assembly with magnet clutch.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  7. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the compressor assembly with magnet clutch.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  8. REMOVE COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH MAGNET CLUTCH

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the clamp.

      B003R2S Bolt
      B003LF2 Nut

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

    4. B003L85

      Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and compressor assembly with magnet clutch.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the compressor assembly with magnet clutch from the vehicle with the stud bolt remaining in the compressor assembly with magnet clutch.
