AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM(for Manual Air Conditioning System) Idle Up Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the idle up switch is pushed, the air conditioning amplifier assembly outputs the engine idle up signal. If engine idle up does not occur when the idle up switch is pushed, there may be a problem in the circuit shown below.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (IDLE UP/PWR HEAT SWITCH)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Data List.

    5. Check the value(s) by referring to the table below.


      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Data List

      IDLE UP/PWR HEAT Switch Idle up switch ON or OFF

      ON: Idle up switch on

      OFF: Idle up switch off

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IDLE UP SWITCH - BATTERY)

      Disconnect the idle up switch connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      G130-6 (SW) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 V
      Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

  3. INSPECT IDLE UP SWITCH


    1. Remove the idle up switch.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IDLE UP SWITCH - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the G130 idle up switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the G131 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G130-3 (E) - G131-2 (SWVC) Always Below 1 Ω
      G130-3 (E) or G131-2 (SWVC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
