FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the front seat outer belt assembly removal/installation are shown below.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the RH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:


    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (Floor Anchor)

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.

  7. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.

      *1 Locking Button
      B003KT0 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Remove the bolt.

    4. Detach the 2 guides and remove the front seat outer belt assembly RH.

  12. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER RH

      Detach the claw and remove the 2 shoulder belt anchor cover RH.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

    2. Detach the guide to remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
