SEAT HEATER SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH

      *a L Switch
      *b R Switch
      *c

      Component without harness connected

      (Seat Heater Switch)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (LH Seat)
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      5 (IG) - 6 (LH) L switch on Below 1 Ω
      L switch off 10 kΩ or higher
      Standard Resistance (RH Seat)
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      4 (IG) - 3 (RH) R switch on Below 1 Ω
      R switch off 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the switch connector, and check that the seat heater switch illuminates.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 7 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → 8 (ILL-)

      		 Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.

    3. Apply battery voltage to the switch connector, and check that the seat heater switch indicator illuminates.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Switch Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 5 (IG)

      Battery negative (-) → 2 (E)

      		 L switch on L switch indicator illuminates

      Battery positive (+) → 4 (IG)

      Battery negative (-) → 2 (E)

      		 R switch on R switch indicator illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.
