  • If the front seat side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.


  • Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the front seat headrest assembly.

  2. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP RH

      Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps RH in the removal direction shown in the illustration.

  3. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH (for Driver Side)

      B003KT0 Protective Tape

      With the reclining adjuster release handle RH pulled up.

    2. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle RH while moving it in the removal direction shown in the illustration.

  4. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH (for Front Passenger Side)

      With the reclining adjuster release handle LH pulled up.

    2. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH while moving it in the removal direction shown in the illustration.

  5. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE RH (for Driver Side)

      Remove the screw.

      With the reclining adjuster release handle RH pulled up.

    3. Detach the guide, and then pull out the removal direction shown in the illustration to remove the vertical adjusting handle RH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)

      Using needle-nose pliers, detach the clip A.

    2. Detach the claw.

    3. Using needle-nose pliers, detach the clip B.

      Using moulding remover A, lift up in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the claw.

      Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull down the removal direction to detach the guide and claw.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Using needle-nose pliers, detach clip A.

    3. Detach the claw.

    4. Using needle-nose pliers, detach clip B.

      Using moulding remover A, lift up in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the claw.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)

      Using moulding remover A, lift in direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration and push down in removal direction to detach the claw.

      Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull out removal direction to detach the claw and guide to remove the front seat inner cushion shield RH.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Using moulding remover A, lift up the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration and push down in the removal direction to detach the claw.

      Remove the band in the position shown in the illustration.

      *1 Wire Harness Clamp
      *2 Connector Clamp

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Detach the wire harness clamp and connector clamp.

        Detach the wire harness clamp.

      w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Detach the wire harness clamp.

      2. Disconnect the connector.

      *1 Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Cover

      Detach the 2 hooks.

      Remove the 4 bolts and front seatback frame sub-assembly RH.

  12. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

      Rotate the part in the removal direction (1) shown in the illustration to detach the guide.

    2. Pull up in the removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to remove the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  13. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  14. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SEATBACK HOOK

      Using moulding remover A, lift up in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the claw and remove the front No. 1 seatback hook.

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

      Remove the 6 hog rings.

      Open the fasteners as shown in the illustration.

      Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the guide to the 2 straps.

  16. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull out in the removal direction to detach the J hook B.

        • Only remove one of the rivets.


        • For LH seats, remove the top rivet.

      Detach the claw and hook to remove the 2 front seatback hooks.

  21. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SEATBACK HOOK

    2. Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to remove the 2 front seatback hooks.

  22. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

      Detach the claw and remove the 2 front seatback edge protectors.

      Pull in the removal direction (1) shown in the illustration to separate the front seat spring sub-assembly RH.

    3. Pull in the removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to remove the front seat spring sub-assembly RH.

    4. Remove the 2 front No. 2 seatback hooks.

  23. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR

      Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and remove the 2 front seatback edge protectors.

  24. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. w/ Seat Heater System:

        Detach the wire harness clamp.

      2. Detach the claw and remove the connector.

    2. for Front Passenger Side:


      1. B003SAZ

        Detach the claw and remove the connector of the occupant detection sensor.

    3. While sliding the part in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, detach the J hook and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

  25. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

      Remove the 2 hog rings and disconnect the 2 straps of the separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

    2. B003ONP

      Remove the 18 hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover.

  26. REMOVE SEAT COVER WIRE

      Remove the seat cover wire.

  27. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the guide.

      Lift up in the removal direction (1) shown in the illustration to detach the clip.

    4. Pull in the removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to remove the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

  28. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  29. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

      Remove the screw.

    2. While rotating the part in the removal direction (1) shown in the illustration, detach the claw.

  30. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

  31. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Detach the claw and remove the seat track handle sub-assembly RH.
