FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Manual Seat) REMOVAL

    Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

  • There is risk of injury.

  • If the front seat side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

  • Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the RH side.

PROCEDURE

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

    CAUTION:


    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT REAR OUTER TRACK COVER RH


    1. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly RH to slide the front seat assembly RH to the frontmost position.

      B003QYY Remove in this Direction (2)

      While lifting up the part in the removal direction (1) shown in the illustration, detach the claw.

    3. Pull out removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to detach the guide and remove the front seat rear outer track cover RH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT REAR INNER TRACK COVER RH

      While lifting up the part in the removal direction (1) shown in the illustration, detach the claw.

    2. Pull out removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to detach the guide and remove the front seat rear inner track cover RH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly RH.

    2. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly RH to slide the front seat assembly RH to the rearmost position.

    3. B003NQ3

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly RH to slide the front seat assembly RH to the center position.

    5. Operate the vertical adjusting handle RH to set the seat cushion height of the front seat assembly RH to the uppermost position.

    6. Operate the reclining adjuster release handle RH to set the seatback of the front seat assembly RH to the perpendicular position.

    7. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

      Disconnect the front seat airbag assembly RH connector.


      1. Push the slider to detach the primary lock. Continue pushing and slide the slider to detach the secondary lock and then disconnect the airbag connector.

      Disconnect the connector.

    9. Detach the wire harness clamp.

      Remove the front seat assembly RH as shown in the illustration.

      • Do not damage the front seat assembly RH, body exterior or interior parts.
