FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Manual Seat) INSTALLATION

    Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

  • There is risk of injury.

  • If the front seat side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

  • Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedures listed below are for RHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the RH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. B003N30

      Place the front seat assembly RH in the vehicle as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not damage the front seat assembly RH, body exterior or interior parts.

      *A w/o Front Seat Side Airbag
      *B w/ Front Seat Side Airbag

      w/o Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Connect the connector.

    3. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Connect the 2 connectors.

    4. Attach the wire harness clamp.

    5. Temporarily install the front seat assembly RH with the 4 bolts.

    6. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly RH to slide the front seat assembly RH to the rearmost position.

      Tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of front seat assembly RH in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    8. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly RH to slide the front seat assembly RH to the frontmost position.

    9. B003JOZN01

      Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of front seat assembly RH in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR INNER TRACK COVER RH

      B003QYY Install in this Direction (2)

      Push in installation direction (1) shown in the illustration to attach the guide.

    2. Push in installation direction (2) shown in the illustration to attach the claw and install the front seat rear inner track cover RH.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR OUTER TRACK COVER RH

      Push in installation direction (1) shown in the illustration to attach the guide.

    2. Push in installation direction (2) shown in the illustration to attach the claw and install the front seat rear outer track cover RH.

    3. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly RH to slide the front seat assembly RH to the center position.

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  5. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
