METER / GAUGE SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK INDICATOR/WARNING LIGHT


    1. Check the following indicators and warning lights.

      Slip indicator light (w/ VSC)

      Downhill assist control system indicator light (w/ Downhill Assist Control)
      iMT indicator light (for Intelligent Manual Transmission)
      Eco driver indicator light (w/ Eco Drive Indicator Light)
      T-BELT indicator light (for KD Series Engine)
      DPF warning light (w/ DPF)
      Tire pressure warning light (w/ Tire Pressure Warning System)
      SRS warning light Ignition switch off → ON Comes on for 6 seconds
      Low engine oil pressure warning light Ignition switch off → ON Turns off when engine started
      A/T OIL TEMP warning light (for 4WD, Automatic Transmission)
      MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp)
      Low engine oil level warning light (for GD Engine Series Engine)
  2. CHECK SPEEDOMETER


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.

      If the result is not as specified, the speedometer may have a malfunction.

      Note

      Do not use worn, underinflated or overinflated tires as the speedometer reading will be inaccurate.

    5. Check the deflection width of the speedometer indicator.

    6. CHECK TACHOMETER


      1. Connect a tune-up tachometer and start the engine.

      2. Compare the test results with the tachometer indicator.

    7. DC 13.5 V at 25°C (77°F)
      Standard Indication (rpm)

      Acceptable Range

      Data in ( ) is for Reference (rpm)

      700 630 to 770
      1000 (900 to 1100)
      2000 (1850 to 2150)
      3000 2800 to 3200
      4000 (3800 to 4200)
      5000 4800 to 5200

If the result is not as specified, the tachometer may have a malfunction.

  • CHECK METER/GAUGE


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Perform the Active Test.
