DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly receives the turn signal switch information and controls the turn signal lights.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (TURN SIGNAL SWITCH)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List
      Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Turn Signal Switch (Right) Turn signal switch (right) signal ON or OFF

      ON: Turn signal switch (right) on

      OFF: Turn signal switch (right) off

      		 -
      Turn Signal Switch (Left) Turn signal switch (left) signal ON or OFF

      ON: Turn signal switch (left) on

      OFF: Turn signal switch (left) off

      		 -
      Turn Switch Signal (Full Turn) Turn signal switch status OFF or ON

      OFF: Turn signal switch off

      ON: Turn signal switch on (Full Turn)

      		 Displays for both right and left turns.

  2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (TURN SIGNAL SWITCH)


    1. Remove the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

    2. Inspect the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the G3 headlight dimmer switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G10 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G3-18 (CR) - G10-3 (SW) Always Below 1 Ω
      G3-20 (TR) - G10-4 (ER)
      G3-19 (TL) - G10-5 (EL)
      G3-16 (EL) - Body ground
      G3-18 (CR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G3-20 (TR) - Body ground
      G3-19 (TL) - Body ground
