REAR DOOR LOCK INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the RH side.

  • A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL

    Note


    • Do not allow grease or dust to adhere to the door lock wiring harness seal installation surface.

    • Reusing a door lock wiring harness seal or using a damaged door lock wiring harness seal may cause water ingress. This may result in a malfunction of the rear door lock assembly.

    • When reusing a removed rear door lock assembly, replace the door lock wiring harness seal with a new one.

      Install a new door lock wiring harness seal to the rear door lock assembly RH.

  2. INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY RH

      w/o Double Locking System:

      Attach the guide to install the rear door inside locking cable assembly RH to the rear door lock assembly RH.

    2. w/ Double Locking System:

        B003OFB Install in this Direction

        Attach the guide to install the rear door remote control cable assembly RH to the rear door lock assembly RH.

      2. B003ONFC01
        B003OFB Install in this Direction

        Close the cover to attach the claw.

  3. INSTALL REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY RH

      w/ Double Locking System:

      Attach the guide to install the rear door lock remote control cable assembly RH to the rear door lock assembly RH.

    2. w/ Double Locking System:

        Attach the guide to install the rear door lock inside locking cable assembly RH to the rear door lock assembly RH.

        Close the cover to attach the claw.

  4. INSTALL REAR DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Double Locking System)

      Attach the clamp and claw to install the rear door lock cover sub-assembly RH.

  5. INSTALL REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the rear door lock assembly RH.

      *a Release Plate
      B003OFB Install in this Direction

      Insert the rear door lock assembly RH into the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly RH release plate, and set it to the rear door panel RH.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly RH release plate is securely connected to the rear door lock assembly RH.

      B003LF2 Connector

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the rear door lock assembly RH with the 3 screws.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

    4. Connect the connector.

  13. INSTALL REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL

  15. INSTALL REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH RH

  16. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
