AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM(for Radio Receiver Type) Illumination Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The radio receiver assembly and steering pad switch assembly illuminates when the headlight dimmer switch is in the tail or head position.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK ILLUMINATION


    1. Check if the illumination for the radio receiver assembly, steering pad switch assembly or others (hazard switch etc.) comes on when the turn signal switch is turned to the head or tail position.

      Result

      Illumination comes on for all components except steering pad switch assembly. A
      Illumination comes on for all components except radio receiver assembly. B
      No illumination comes on (radio receiver assembly, steering pad switch, hazard switch etc.). C

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ILLUMINATION SIGNAL)

      Disconnect the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly*1 or spiral cable sub-assembly*2 connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the G4 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly*1 or spiral cable sub-assembly*2 connector.


      • *1: w/ VSC

      • *2: w/o VSC

    2. Disconnect the G171 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G4-3 (EAU) - G171-23 (SWG) Always Below 1 Ω
      G4-3 (EAU) or G171-23 (SWG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the G173 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. for TFT Display Type:

      Disconnect the G9 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
