STEERING HEATER SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT STEERING HEATER SWITCH


    1. B003MZSC01

      Remove the steering heater switch.

      Click here

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      11 (IG) - 8 (B) Steering heater switch is pushed Below 1 Ω
      11 (IG) - 8 (B) Steering heater switch is not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

    3. Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the illumination conditions.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 10 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → 9 (ILL-)

      		 Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the steering heater switch.

  2. INSPECT STEERING HEATER RELAY


    1. B003MAYN03

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied to terminal 1 and 2 10 MΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is applied to terminal 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the steering heater relay.
