PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *15 TOP Switch *16 Horn Wire

      A3 (+DP2) - A8 (EAU) No switch pushed 95 to 105 kΩ
      UP 312.6 to 345.5 Ω
      DOWN 950 to 1050 Ω
      LEFT Below 2.5 Ω
      RIGHT 2954.5 to 3265.5 Ω
      A2 (+DP) - A8 (EAU) No switch pushed 95 to 105 kΩ

      A12 (SDN) - B3 (SDN) Always Below 2.5 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the steering pad switch assembly.

    2. Check the switch illumination.


      1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal IL+2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal EAU of the steering pad switch assembly connector.

      2. Check that the switch illumination comes on.

        OK
        Steering pad switch illumination comes on.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the steering pad switch assembly.
