POWER BACK DOOR DRIVE UNIT REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH

  2. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR UNIT ASSEMBLY LH

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. B003JHZC02
      *a Grommet
      B003KT0 Protective Tape

      Detach the grommet.

    3. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the 2 stop rings along their grooves.

    4. Detach the 2 ball joints and remove the back door stay assembly LH.

      Note

      Remove the power back door unit assembly set LH while supporting the back door by hand.

  3. REMOVE UPPER BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY BRACKET LH

      Remove the 2 bolts and upper back door damper stay bracket LH.

  4. REMOVE LOWER BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY BRACKET LH

      Remove the 2 bolts and lower back door damper stay bracket LH.
