  4. INSTALL REAR DOOR DUST PROOF SEAL

      Attach the claw to install 3 new rear door dust proof seals.

  5. INSTALL REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP RH

      B003KT0 Double-sided Tape

      Attach the clip to install a new rear door weatherstrip RH.

    2. Remove the peeling paper from double-sided tape and press the double-sided tape to the rear door panel RH.

  6. INSTALL REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding area of the rear door check assembly RH.

    2. When reusing a bolt:


      1. Clean the threads of the bolt (B) with non-residue solvent.

      2. Apply adhesive to the threads of the bolt (B).

        Adhesive
        Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent.

      Install the rear door check assembly RH with the 2 bolts (A) and bolt (B).

      Torque:
      Bolt (A)
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
      Bolt (B)
      30 N*m  { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL REAR DOOR PANEL CUSHION

      Attach the claw to install 2 new rear door panel cushions.

  8. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding area of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly RH.

      Attach the grommet and guide to install the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly RH as shown in the illustration.

    3. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the screw.

      Torque:
      4.0 N*m  { 41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding area of the rear door window regulator sub-assembly RH.

    2. Temporarily install the temporarily bolt to the rear door window regulator sub-assembly RH.

      Install the rear door window regulator sub-assembly RH with the 3 bolts and temporary bolt.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
      Temporarily Bolt
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Be careful not to drop the rear door window regulator sub-assembly RH as it may become damaged.

    4. Connect the connector.

      Install the rear door quarter window weatherstrip RH to the rear door quarter window glass RH.

      Insert the rear door glass sub-assembly RH as shown in the illustration.

      Install the rear door glass sub-assembly RH to the rear door window regulator sub-assembly RH as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the rear door glass sub-assembly RH.

  26. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

      Lift up the rear door weatherstrip RH and install the screw.

      Torque:
      6.2 N*m  { 63 kgf*cm, 55 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the rear door window division bar sub-assembly RH with the 2 bolts.

      6.2 N*m  { 63 kgf*cm, 55 in.*lbf }

  27. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS RUN RH

      Attach the guide to install a new rear door glass run RH.

  28. INSTALL SCREW GROMMET

      Attach the claw to install 2 new screw grommets.

  29. INSTALL REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER RH


    1. Apply new butyl tape to the rear door panel.

      Pass the rear door inside locking cable assembly RH and rear door lock remote control cable assembly RH through a new rear door service hole cover RH, and then attach the rear door service hole cover RH using the reference points on the rear door panel.

      Tech Tips


      • Securely install the rear door service hole cover RH to prevent wrinkles and air bubbles.

      • There should be no wrinkles or folds after installing the rear door service hole cover RH.

      • After installing the rear door service hole cover RH, check the seal quality.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
