WINDSHIELD DEICER SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. GENERAL


    1. The windshield deicer thin heater wires are attached to the inside of the windshield glass to help deice the window surface more quickly. The defogger indicator (deicer indicator) illuminates while the system is operating. The system automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes.

    2. The system automatically turns off after 15 minutes.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Air Conditioning Control Assembly

    • Sends signals to the air conditioning amplifier assembly to operate the windshield deicer.*1

    • Sends a windshield deicer activation request signal to the DEICER relay.*2
    Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly*1 Sends windshield deicer activation request signals to the DEICER relay.
    DEICER Receives windshield deicer activation request signals from the air conditioning amplifier assembly and supplies power to the windshield glass (windshield deicer).
    Windshield Glass (Windshield Deicer) Receives power from the DEICER relay and heats the windshield glass (windshield deicer).
