    • Be careful not to damage the back door glass when cutting as the back door glass spacers are installed to the back door glass.


    • The back door glass may fall while performing this procedure. Therefore, use suction cups to hold the back door glass from the outside of the vehicle.

      Put protective tape on the back door panel around the back door glass.

      Note

      When separating the back door glass from the vehicle, be careful not to damage the vehicle paint or interior/exterior ornaments.

      When reusing back door glass:


      1. Place adhesive tape on the back door glass and body panel and use a pen to place matchmarks for installation.

      2. Install the suction cups to the back door glass.

      Detach the clamp and claw.

    4. Disconnect the connector and remove the bolt.

      *1 Back Window Glass Clip
      *2 Back Window Glass Spacer
      *a Piano Wire

      Insert a piano wire (approximately 0.6 mm) at the locations shown in the illustration.

    6. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the wire ends.

    7. Pull on the ends of the piano wire alternately and leave the back door glass spacers when cutting through the adhesive.

      Note


      • Do not forcefully brush the piano wire against the back door glass.


      • Be careful as the piano wire will break if it crosses itself.

    8. Using suction cups, remove the back door glass.

      Note

      Make sure that the back door glass does not fall.
