LIGHTING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION


  1. Note


    • When replacing the body ECU, be sure to initialize the automatic light control system by using either method 1 or method 2 described below.

    • When replacing the body ECU, the automatic light control system is disabled until initialization is performed as described below.

    AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM INITIALIZATION


    1. Method 1


      1. Check that the headlight dimmer switch (dimmer switch) is in the low position.

      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      3. Set the headlight dimmer switch (dimmer switch) to the high position.

      4. Turn the headlight dimmer switch (light control switch) to the AUTO position.

      5. Move the headlight dimmer switch (light control switch) from the AUTO position to any other position 3 or more times.

      6. Once initialization of the automatic light control system is finished, the automatic light control system will be enabled.

    2. Method 2


      1. Turn the ignition switch from ON to off 30 times.

      2. Once initialization of the automatic light control system is finished, the automatic light control system will be enabled.
