PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY(for TMMIN Made) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY (for Pre-Runner)

    1. Completely remove any oil, etc. and clean the contact surfaces of the propeller shaft flange and differential flange.

    2. for 2GD-FTV (RC60):

      Completely remove any oil, etc. and clean the contact surfaces of the propeller shaft flange, differential flange and differential torsional damper.

    3. for 1GR-FE (AC60):

      Completely remove any oil, etc. and clean the contact surfaces of the propeller shaft flange, differential flange and differential mass damper.

    4. for 2GD-FTV (RC60):

      Align the matchmarks and install the differential torsional damper to the differential flange.

    5. for 1GR-FE (AC60):

      Align the matchmarks and install the differential mass damper to the differential flange.

    6. Install the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly to the extension housing.

    7. Temporarily install the center support bearing bracket with the 2 bolts. Tighten the bolts as much as possible by hand.

    8. Align the matchmarks on the propeller shaft flange and differential flange.

    9. for 2GD-FTV (RC60):

      Align the matchmarks on the propeller shaft flange, differential flange and differential torsional damper.

      Align the matchmarks on the propeller shaft flange, differential flange and differential mass damper.

    11. for Differential Type BD22:

      Install the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly with the 4 washers and 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      88.2 N*m  { 899 kgf*cm, 65 ft.*lbf }
    12. for Differential Type BD20:

      Install the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly with the 4 bolts, 4 washers and 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      88.2 N*m  { 899 kgf*cm, 65 ft.*lbf }
    13. B003KVOC01
      *a Center Bearing Housing Center Line
      *b Center Bearing Center Line

      Unload the vehicle and then make sure all 4 wheels are touching the ground and the vehicle is supporting all of its own weight. The center lines of the center bearing and center bearing housing (refer to the illustration) must be adjusted so that they are within 0 +/-1 mm (0 +/-0.0394 in.) of each other. Measure the difference along the front/rear axis of the vehicle.

      Distance (A)
      0 +/-1 mm (0 +/-0.0394 in.)
    14. Tighten the 2 bolts of the center support bearing bracket.

      Torque:
      36.2 N*m  { 369 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }
  2. INSTALL PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY (for 4WD)

    1. Completely remove any oil, etc. and clean the contact surfaces of the propeller shaft flange and transfer flange.

    2. for 1GR-FE (AC60F):

      Completely remove any oil, etc. and clean the contact surfaces of the propeller shaft flange, differential flange and differential mass damper.

    3. for 1GR-FE (AC60F):

      Align the matchmarks and install the differential mass damper to the differential flange.

    4. Completely remove any oil, etc. and clean the contact surfaces of the propeller shaft flange and differential flange.

    5. Align the matchmarks on the propeller shaft flange and transfer flange.

    6. Install the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly with the 4 nuts and 4 washers.
