DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when a short to ground in the oil temperature sensor is detected.

  • Malfunction Status: Short to ground in the oil temperature sensor

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU AND OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the C60 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the E1 oil temperature sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C60-5 (DT) or E1-1 (DT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      C60-25 (DGND) or E1-2 (DGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      NG

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  2. INSPECT OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR


    1. Disconnect the E1 oil temperature sensor connector.
