DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when a short to B+ or open circuit in the oil temperature sensor is detected.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR


    1. Disconnect the C60 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

      (to 4 Wheel Drive Control ECU)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C60-5 (DT) - C60-25 (DGND) Always 120 to 240 kΩ
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C60-5 (DT) or C60-25 (DGND) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU - OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR)


    1. Disconnect the C60 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the E1 oil temperature sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C60-5 (DT) - E1-1 (DT) Always Below 1 Ω
      C60-25 (DGND) - E1-2 (DGND) Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C60-5 (DT) or E1-1 (DT) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
      C60-25 (DGND) or E1-2 (DGND) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
