TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the transmission control cable from outside the vehicle body and attach the 3 claws of the cable retainer.

    2. Install the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Connect the transmission control cable support to the vehicle body with the nut as shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    4. Connect the ground wire to the vehicle body with the nut as shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      8.3 N*m  { 85 kgf*cm, 73 in.*lbf }
    5. B003NM2N02

      Turn the control shaft lever LH clockwise until it stops, and then return the control shaft lever counterclockwise 2 notches to N.

    6. Connect the transmission control cable to the transmission control cable bracket with a new clip, and then connect the cable end to the control shaft lever LH with the nut.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }
