EXTENSION HOUSING REAR OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY


  2. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION EXTENSION HOUSING OIL SEAL


    1. B003Q3AN01

      Using SST, remove the automatic transmission extension housing oil seal.

      SST
      09308-00010

  3. INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION EXTENSION HOUSING OIL SEAL


    1. Coat the lip of a new automatic transmission extension housing oil seal with MP grease.

    2. 58 mm outer diameter seal type:


      1. B003PLLN01

        Using SST and a hammer, tap in the automatic transmission extension housing oil seal.

        09309-37010
        Standard depth
        5.4 to 5.8 mm (0.213 to 0.228 in.)

        Note


        • Make sure that the automatic transmission extension housing oil seal is installed in the correct direction.

        • Do not damage the lip of the automatic transmission extension housing oil seal.

    3. 64 mm outer diameter seal type:


      1. B003QPRN01

        Using SST and a hammer, tap in the automatic transmission extension housing oil seal.

        Standard depth
        5.4 to 5.8 mm (0.213 to 0.228 in.)

        Note


        • Make sure that the automatic transmission extension housing oil seal is installed in the correct direction.

        • Do not damage the lip of the automatic transmission extension housing oil seal.
