PARKING BRAKE CABLE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the 4 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      25.5 N*m  { 260 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the clip.

    3. Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the backing plate with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    4. Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake shoe lever.

  2. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE EQUALIZER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the parking brake equalizer sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      25.5 N*m  { 260 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      25.5 N*m  { 260 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf }

      B003KT0 MP grease

      Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer sub-assembly and apply MP grease to the connecting portion.

    3. Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly to the backing plate with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    4. Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake shoe lever.

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the cable support bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      25.5 N*m  { 260 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf }

    2. Insert the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from inside the vehicle.

    3. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    4. Connect the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly to the cable support bracket.

    5. Connect the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer sub-assembly.

    6. Connect the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly to the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

      Apply MP grease to the pin.

    8. Install the clip and pin to the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

  5. INSTALL FUEL TANK

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE HEAT INSULATOR


    1. Install the No. 2 parking brake cable heat insulator with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      25.5 N*m  { 260 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE HEAT INSULATOR


    1. Install the parking brake cable heat insulator with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL REAR DISC

  10. CONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Connect the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      100 N*m  { 1020 kgf*cm, 74 ft.*lbf }

  11. CONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. Install the No. 2 console box mounting bracket to the intermediate lever protector with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  13. INSTALL INTERMEDIATE LEVER PROTECTOR


    1. Install the intermediate lever protector with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the floor carpet.

  14. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH
