VANE PUMP(for 5L-E) DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note


  • When using a vise, place aluminum plates between the part and vise.

  • When using a vise, do not overtighten it.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE POWER STEERING SUCTION PORT UNION

      Remove the bolt and power steering suction port union.

    2. Using a screwdriver, remove the O-ring from the power steering suction port union.

  2. REMOVE FLOW CONTROL VALVE

      Remove the pressure port union.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the pressure port union.

    3. Remove the flow control valve and compression spring.

  3. REMOVE REAR VANE PUMP HOUSING

      Remove the 4 bolts and rear vane pump housing.

    2. Remove the gasket.

    3. Remove the 2 O-ring from the rear vane pump housing.

  4. REMOVE FRONT VANE PUMP SIDE PLATE


    1. Remove the wave washer from the rear vane pump side plate.

      Remove the rear vane pump side plate.

  5. REMOVE VANE PUMP CAM RING

      Remove the vane pump cam ring.

  6. REMOVE VANE PUMP ROTOR


    1. Remove the 10 vane pump plates.

    2. B003KGE

      Using 2 screwdrivers, remove the vane pump shaft snap ring from the vane pump shaft.

    3. Remove the vane pump rotor.

  7. REMOVE VANE PUMP SHAFT

  8. REMOVE VANE PUMP HOUSING OIL SEAL

      *a Cloth

      Using a screwdriver, pry out the vane pump housing oil seal.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the front vane pump housing.
