ENGINE OIL COOLER INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT OIL SAFETY VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Coat the oil safety valve sub-assembly with engine oil and check that it falls smoothly into the oil filter bracket sub-assembly by its own weight.

      If the oil safety valve sub-assembly does not fall smoothly into the oil filter bracket sub-assembly, replace the oil safety valve sub-assembly. If necessary, replace the oil filter bracket sub-assembly.

  2. INSPECT OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY

    1. Check the oil cooler assembly for damage or clogging.

      If necessary, replace the oil cooler assembly.
