THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL THERMOSTAT

   
   

   1. Install a new gasket to the thermostat.

      Note

      When installing the gasket to the thermostat, be careful not to deform the gasket. Make sure that the groove of the gasket is properly installed to the thermostat as shown in the illustration.

   2. Install the thermostat with gasket.

2. INSTALL WATER OUTLET

   
   

   1. Install a new gasket and the water outlet with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:

      19 N*m  { 194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

3. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the water outlet and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.

4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

5. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

6. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
