Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT

Using a screwdriver, remove the 4 set rings and 4 cylinder boots from the disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Note
Be careful not to damage the front disc brake piston and disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PISTON

| *b | 50 mm (1.97 in.) |
| *c | 25 mm (0.99 in.) |
Prepare a wooden plate to hold the front disc brake pistons.
Place the wooden plate between the front disc brake pistons and insert a front disc brake pad on one side.
Apply compressed air to remove the 4 front disc brake pistons from the disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
CAUTION:
Do not place your finger in front of the front disc brake piston when using compressed air.
Note
Be careful not to spatter the brake fluid.
REMOVE PISTON SEAL

Using a screwdriver, remove the 4 piston seals from the disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Note
Be careful not to damage the inner cylinder and piston seal groove.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG
Remove the front disc brake bleeder plug from the disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
