VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE(for 2TR-FE) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT DUTY VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE


    1. B003K32

      Slide the clip and disconnect the air hose (connected to the air cleaner hose) from the duty vacuum switching valve.

    2. Move the shift lever to P and apply the parking brake.

    3. Connect the GTS to the DLC3, and then turn the ignition switch to ON.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Brake Ejector VSV Inspection.


      Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Active Test
      Tester Display
      Brake Ejector VSV Inspection

    6. Start the engine.

    7. Using the GTS, turn off the duty vacuum switching valve.

      Use your finger to confirm that the duty vacuum switching valve has no suction.

    9. Using the GTS, turn on the duty vacuum switching valve.

    10. Use your finger to confirm that the duty vacuum switching valve has suction.

    11. Turn the GTS off and turn the ignition switch off.

    12. Disconnect the GTS from the DLC3.

    13. Connect the air hose to the duty vacuum switching valve and slide the clip to secure it.
