VACUUM PUMP(for 5L-E) REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL OIL SEAL


    1. B003L35N01

      Using a SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

      SST
      09950-60010   ( 09951-00400, 09951-07150 )

  2. INSTALL O-RING


    1. Apply engine oil on a new O-ring and install the O-ring to the vacuum pump case.

  3. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP BEARING

      Using a press, press in a new vacuum pump bearing to the vacuum pump shaft.

  4. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP SHAFT


    1. Install the vacuum pump shaft and stop ring to the vacuum pump case.

  5. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP BLADE

      B003R2S Engine oil

      Apply engine oil to the vacuum pump rotor and 5 new vacuum pump blades.

    2. Install the rotor and pump blades with the round end facing outward.

    3. Install the end plate with the 2 screws.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP END COVER


    1. Install the vacuum pump end cover with the 4 screws.

      Torque:
      4.6 N*m  { 47 kgf*cm, 41 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL CHECK VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Using soft jaws, place the vacuum pump in a vise. Then install a new gasket and check valve sub-assembly.

      Torque:
      73.5 N*m  { 749 kgf*cm, 54 ft.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP VACUUM HOSE UNION

      Using SST, hold the check valve sub-assembly, and install 2 new gaskets and the vacuum hose union with the union bolt.

      13.7 N*m  { 140 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP PULLEY


    1. Install the vacuum pump pulley with the pulley lock nut.

      Torque:
      105.3 N*m  { 1074 kgf*cm, 78 ft.*lbf }
