DECELERATION SENSOR(for 4WD and Pre-Runner without VSC) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE INTERMEDIATE LEVER PROTECTOR

  5. REMOVE DECELERATION SENSOR

      *1 Fuel Lid Control Cable Clamp

      Detach the fuel lid control cable clamp from the deceleration sensor.

    2. Disconnect the deceleration sensor connector.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and deceleration sensor.
