REAR UPPER ARM INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY


    1. Temporarily install the upper control arm assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

  2. CONNECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System)


    1. Connect the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH with the nut.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

  4. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

  5. TIGHTEN UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY


    1. Tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      145 N*m  { 1479 kgf*cm, 107 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      While fixing the nut in place, tighten the bolts.

  6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (w/ Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System)
