FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

  2. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. REMOVE CANISTER

    Click here

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL HOSE

      Detach the No. 1 fuel hose from the fuel filter.

    2. Disconnect the No. 1 fuel hose.

  6. DISCONNECT FUEL MAIN TUBE

      Disconnect the fuel main tube.

      Click here

  7. REMOVE FUEL FILTER

      Remove the 3 nuts and fuel filter.

  8. INSTALL FUEL FILTER


    1. Install the fuel filter with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }

  9. CONNECT FUEL MAIN TUBE


    1. Connect the fuel main tube.

      Click here

  10. CONNECT NO. 1 FUEL HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 1 fuel hose.

      Click here

    2. Attach the No. 1 fuel hose to the fuel filter.

  11. INSTALL CANISTER

    Click here

  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  13. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK
