FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *a Hold
      B003R2S Turn

      Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley sub-assembly and loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure to leave the pulley bolt screwed into the crankshaft by 2 or 3 threads.

      B003R2S Turn

      Using SST, remove the crankshaft pulley bolt and crankshaft pulley sub-assembly from the crankshaft.

  3. REMOVE FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL

      Using SST, remove the front crankshaft oil seal from the timing gear cover.

      Tech Tips

      After removal, check the crankshaft for damage. If damaged, smooth the surface with #400 sandpaper.
